WY

In one month from today, I will be living in Cheyenne, Wyoming. In order to increase my love for Cheyenne, I am naming some things I like about this city.

1. It's only 45 minutes from Ft. Collins, CO

2. It's only an hour and a half from Denver, CO

3. Paul

4. "Home on the Range" is the state song of Wyoming. That is a decent song.

5. The air quality is better than in Provo.

6. There's a Dairy Queen.

7. There are a lot of Starbucks.

8. Wyoming is the last state alphabetically, which is cool.

10. It has a really good rodeo.

11. It’s kind of close to Montana and I hear that’s pretty.

12. One time I was walking to Paul’s house from the store and it was very windy and about 4 cars stopped to offer me a ride. People are very nice.

13. Cheyenne is not only the capitol of Wyoming, but it’s the largest city in the state with a population of 60,000.

15. It snows horizontally instead of vertically which looks cool from the indoors.

TENT!!

Steepandcheap.com is AMAZING. They sell outdoor stuff for super cheap. I check it about 5 times a day and I've been waiting for a good deal on a tent. I found one!

Paul and I set it up in Liberty Park. We had to go, so it was only up for 10 minutes. But they were oh-such-exciting minutes.

Lesson I learned- icing tubes are meant to have a tip on them. If you don't buy a tip, it comes out really thick and it's hard to write letters on the cookie.

What I did last Saturday

Ode to Baby

I'm back at work today. It's slow this morning, and that's a good thing.

If today was Wednesday again, I might have ran away from work. Just straight up awoled like a crazy lady.

Wednesday, 4 month old baby died. He was a beautiful 4 month old baby. Parents found him not breathing in his crib- SIDS. Mom and Dad were of course shocked, falling to the floor in grief. I had to ask them dumb questions while they were still in shock so I could fill out the death certificate. They told me what baby was like. He was a good sleeper. He was their only baby. He liked to be surprised by funny noises- he would smile. He was beautiful, even after life left him.

So, God, please take care of baby. And Mom and Dad, I will think of you on mother's day and father's day and a lot of other days 'cause some things will feel unbearable.

Back to work I am. And peaceful and ready to be here.

Ten Reasons

Ten reasons this was a good weekend:

1. It stopped snowing and got warmer again.

2. I bowled a turkey!

3. I got to spend the whole weekend with Paul.

4. I ate yummy tastes-like-it's-straight-from-Italy pizza.

5. I got special Tahlia and Tiffany time.

6. I got to watch "500 Days of Summer."

7. My fantasy basketball team gained one point and Chris Bosh returned to health (thank heavens!).

8. I got to cuddle and I love cuddling:)

9. I didn't do a DROP of homework.

10. I had a promising phone call with a possible future employer.
